Wisdom teeth are the last molars to come in, usually between ages 17 and 25. For most people, there isn't enough room in the jaw for them — so they come in crooked, partially erupted, or completely impacted (trapped under the gum). When that happens, they can damage neighbouring teeth, cause repeated infections, and produce significant pain.
We remove most wisdom teeth right here in the clinic, including most impacted cases. Sedation is available for nervous patients, and we use careful surgical technique to minimise swelling and speed your recovery.
We also handle wisdom tooth emergencies — sudden swelling, severe pain, or an infection — on a same-day basis whenever possible.

3D scan & planning
A digital scan (CBCT) shows us the exact position of each wisdom tooth and the nerve below. We plan the extraction precisely before we touch you.
Anesthetic & sedation
Local anesthetic ensures you feel no pain. Nitrous oxide or oral sedation are available if you'd prefer to feel deeply relaxed.
Gentle extraction
Most wisdom teeth come out in 10–20 minutes per tooth. We use gentle surgical technique to minimise post-op swelling.

Do all wisdom teeth need to come out?
No. If yours erupted fully, are well aligned, and you can clean them properly, they may stay for life. We assess each tooth individually rather than reflexively removing all four.
How long is recovery?
Most patients feel substantially better within 3–4 days. Mild swelling is normal for the first 48 hours. You'll want to plan for a quiet weekend after the procedure.
Is the procedure painful?
During the procedure, no — local anesthetic ensures complete numbness. Afterward, post-op soreness is normal but is well-managed with the prescription and over-the-counter regimen we provide.
Will my insurance cover it?
Most plans cover surgical extractions, especially when there's a clinical reason. CDCP covers eligible patients. We'll confirm coverage in advance.
